Itinerary
Day 1Flight to Hkamti [-/-/D]
You will be picked up from your hotel in Yangon or Mandalay and transferred to the domestic airport. We set off on a flight to Hkamti, the biggest settlement in the Naga Land region. In the evening you will have free time to explore the settlement and we will overnight at a local guesthouse.

Day 2Drive to Naga Villages [B/L/D]
We begin the day with early morning food shopping and stocking up on supplies at a local market. Then we cross Chindwin River by boat and drive overland to a the village of Lahe.

Day 3Drive to Laungve [B/L/D]
We continue driving today, traversing through stunning mountain ranges and pristine landscapes. After a long day’s journey, we arrive at the village of Laungve in the late afternoon and will be met by our hosts.

Day 4 and Day 5Treks to Konyak Villages [B/L/D]
Using Laungve as a base we will embark on day treks to several Konyak village. The traditions of the Konyak Naga are fascinating and we’ll get to experience it firsthand during these few days. During our trek through the beautiful Naga landscape we’ll come across mountain cultivation fields and learn how the Naga prevail in these remote regions. The village elders have kept up the traditions and customs of the Naga and the life in this region has changed very little in centuries. The friendly villagers we’ll meet will proudly show us around and demonstrate their traditional activities. At the villages, we’ll witness beautiful wood carvings decorating the village houses, observer the villagers producing black gun powder used in hunting, weaving of traditional naga blankets and listen to the sound of huge ceremonial log drums played during festivals. In the afternoon we trek back to Laungve to spend the night.

Day 6Return to Lahe by Car [B/L/D]
Today we say our farewells to our hosts and travel by car back to Lahe

Continue driving from Lahe to the settlement of Hkamti
