Putao Permits

As of 23 December 2016 Putao travel permits to have been suspended until further notice by Myanmar authorities. Traveling to this remote region requires military approval and due to heightened tensions and armed conflict in lower Kachin State, Putao is off the permitted travel destinations list.

We will update information on this page when the situation changes and permit applications can be accepted again.
