A beautiful Trek in the Upper Chit Kyaung Valley, to the west of Mindat town, at altitudes between 2400 and 1300 meters. The trek is mostly downhill or flat on good trails. A few uphill parts are included, but neither steep nor too long or challenging. At some parts, where the trail becomes narrow, the guide and his team will take special care of you!

Itinerary
Day 1Bagan/Pakokku – Mindat – 14 mile point – Hi Laung [-/-/D]
Private car pick up from Hotel in Bagan -> Pakokku -> Pauk -> Kyauk Htu (lunch) -> Mindat (meet the guide and team) -> drop off at “ 14 mile Point” (2400 meter altitude) -> 2 hours downhill hike through beautiful pine forest to the village of Hi Laung, enjoy home-cooked Dinner prepared by our guide.

Day 2Hi Laung – Hpwi – waterfall – Hte Pan [B/L/D]
Early Breakfast in Hi Laung, then trek via the traditional villages of Kyout and Koun Eim to Hpwi where we will have lunch. In the afternoon, a highlight of the trek is waiting for us, climbing up the Hunters falls, you’ll become very wet, also swimming possible. After that, a short Trek to Hte Pan village, where we will stay for the night in a village house. Dinner again prepared by your guide.

Day 3Hte Pan – An Laung – Pan Out – Pye – Mindat [B/-/-]
After local breakfast in Hte Pan, we continue the trek to the villages of Am Laung (waterfall for swimming) and Pan Owt (lunch), where many traditional “tomb tables can be seen. We take a shortcut to Pye village and from there back to Mindat (1 hour on a small road through villages), where you will check in at a basic, but very nice guesthouse with fantastic views. You can have dinner at one of the local restaurants, a few minutes walk from the guesthouse (not incl.)

Day 4Mindat – Bagan/Pakokku [B/-/-]
After breakfast at your guesthouse, you can visit the local market to grab some souvenirs (Chin weavings, knives), before the car takes you back to Bagan (bus departure 8:30am to Pakokku), where you will arrive in the early afternoon, you’ll be dropped at your accommodation or the airport/ bus station.
