Tour Details

Very interesting, not too challenging trek south-west of Mindat town, on an altitude between 800 and 2000 meters. Pine forests and mountain jungle, many villages with old traditions still alive, will be visited on the way – also at some points great views towards Mt. Victoria – and not to be forgotten, the Hunters falls, which will be climbed on the morning of the 2nd day. Only on the last day there is a very small chance to see some other trekkers (unlikely) – for the rest of the tour, you will be able to enjoy the beauty of nature and the hospitality of the local “Cho” people all by yourselves, many women in all villages still have tattooed faces!

Highlights

  • Fantastic views over the valley and surrounding mountains
  • Authentic villages with friendly villagers and old traditions still alive
  • Village house home stays (basic but clean), food prepared by our guide team on wood fire
  • the impressive “Hunters falls” (beautiful but challenging climb, shoes will get wet) hidden deep in
the jungle – a local hunter will guide us on the way
  • old villages of Kyardo and Loute Pe, where all the old traditions and artifacts, that the people of Chin
state are well-known for, can be seen in one place. It’s like an inhabited open-air-museum
