Upper Chit Kyaung Valley Trek incl. Hunters falls – 4 days

A beautiful Trek in the Upper Chit Kyaung Valley, to the west of Mindat town, at altitudes between 2400 and 1300 meters. The trek is mostly downhill or flat on good trails. A few uphill parts are included, but neither steep nor too long or challenging. At some parts, where the trail becomes narrow, the guide and his team will take special care of you!

Highlights

  • Pine forests and mountain jungle
  • Fantastic views over the valley and surrounding mountains
  • Authentic villages with friendly villagers and old traditions still alive
(ladies with facial tattoos, traditional Y-shaped sacrificing poles and stone tomb tables, houses decorated with animal skulls)
  •  Absolutely non-touristy
  • Village house home stays (basic but clean – “bathroom facilities” outside, clean squat toilets)
  • Delicious food prepared by our guide team on wood fire
  • The impressive “Hunters falls” (beautiful but challenging climb, you will get wet) hidden deep in the jungle – a local hunter will guide us on the way
